When patients take warfarin as a blood thinner, they require regular blood tests to adjust the dose to the therepeutic range. If they neglect to do this they run the risk of blood clots from thick blood or dangerous hemorrhage from thin blood.
This program keeps track of dosage changes over time, generates printed instructions to the patient, and automatically logs the return date in the Memos section of Mountain Meadow so the clinician will know if the followup testing date is missed.
If desired, the clinician can click a button to automatically generate a note in the patient's chart as well.
